"Designing at the Speed of Change"

This will be the main theme of our discussions, exploring how Axiomatic Design can contribute to increasing engineering speed through appropriate scientific design.

Today's engineering organizations face unprecedented pressure to innovate faster while managing increasing product complexity, sustainability requirements, and global uncertainty. Development cycles that once took many years are now measured often in months. Manufacturing has increased productivity over the last decades mostly through lean, automation and robotics. Product development and engineering design must now undergo a similar transformation—not by replacing engineers, but by augmenting their ability to make better design decisions faster without compromising design quality.

ICAD aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to explore how creativity, systems thinking, digital engineering, artificial intelligence, and Axiomatic Design can jointly enable faster, more resilient, and higher-quality product or system development.
